Features / Spending Plan

Plan next month with this month in view.

A plan does not need to predict every purchase. Set category targets, compare them with what you spend, and adjust when life gives you a different month.

Start in the iOS app. Web sign-in is available for existing members.

A planning target, not a bank balance.

Illustrative example with invented data. Not a customer account or an app screenshot.

Set a target. See how you are doing. Adjust.

  1. Plan at the category level

Set monthly targets for the categories you want to manage. Give recurring essentials space first, then decide how much room to leave for the spending you can change.

  2. Read the target beside the actual

Spending Plan brings planned amounts and actual spending into the same view. An overspent category is information you can act on, not a reason to abandon the rest of the month.

  3. Keep the plan responsive

Review the selected month and adjust your targets as needed. Your past spending provides context; you still decide what belongs in the next plan.

Good to know

A few practical questions.

Is a target a limit on my bank account?

No. Spending Plan is a budgeting view. Setting a target does not move money, block a purchase or reserve funds in your bank account.

Do I need perfect categories first?

Start with the categories that matter most, then improve the rest. Categorization affects actual spending totals, so check unexpected results against your transactions.

What if I go over a target?

Use it as a reason to look closer. You can adjust the target, change a future plan, or leave it as a record of an unusual month.

Start with one month of spending.

Bring in your transactions, review your categories, and give the next month a plan.
